Student Information Systems (SIS)



The BTO will collaborate with Admissions and Financial Aid to transform UCLA’s Student Information Systems (SIS) to a sustainable cloud-based platform. The new platform will improve the student experience through improved admissions, financial aid and student records processes.  New, modernized platforms will enable continuous improvement, leverage transformative capabilities and deliver sustained change for many years to come.

What is Student Information Systems (SIS)?

Currently, UCLA uses a mainframe Student Information System (SIS). Following an analysis of business processes spanning across Undergraduate Admissions (UA), Financial Aid System (FAS), Registrar’s Office, Student Financial Services (SFS), and other functional offices, it was determined UCLA would benefit from implementing an ERP solution to facilitate coordination of systems, processes, and services that inform the student experience
